State of Progress
State of Progress (SOP) is a collaborative project between Carissa Carman and Joanna Lake. SOP toured the United States for 10 weeks in a waste vegetable oil car resourcing, documenting and creating art works - photographs, interactive installations, art objects, and fabric works - with perspectives on sustainable growing, agricultural and the economics of local sourcing.
SOP will exhibit images and works from the recent tour at Exit Art in the collective show E.P.A. (Environmental Performance Actions), the first exhibition in a series called S.E.A. (Social-Environmental Aesthetics). S.E.A. is a new initiative and archive dedicated to art works that address social and environmental issues.
